Instructions for goods receipt and storage Delivery conditions

Delivery

In order to plan the capacities for incoming goods, so that sufficient staff is available for the delivery of your goods, please send us an advance notice for each planned delivery via our customer login, the ServBoard. This way, we know what goods are arriving when, which carrier is bringing them, and that they belong to you.

Keep us updated regarding delivery dates and quantities. Whenever you receive news from the carrier, please share it with us via the ServBoard. After you have entered an advance notice, please double-check the detail information. For container deliveries, the time is very important! If deliveries are being made via parcel service or pallets by truck, please simply enter 08:00 AM. If you know more specific times, we appreciate any detailed information!

Product details for a smooth delivery

To ensure that we can process your delivery as efficiently and quickly as possible, we need the following product details in the advance notification:

  • SKU
  • Description
  • EAN
  • FNSKU
  • ASIN
  • Width of the product
  • Height of the product
  • Length of the product
  • Weight of the product
  • SKU and/or EAN and/or FNSKU and/or ASIN
  • Quantity per SKU
  • Boxes per SKU
  • Total cubic meters
  • Total number of pallets
  • Euro or single-use pallets
  • Delivery time
  • Delivering freight forwarder

Ideally, they should be clean and neatly packed cartons, Euro pallets, or even containers. Single-use pallets should be avoided. The cartons must be clearly labeled on all four sides. We do not have a sample label. Ultimately, the principle here is: The more, the better.

The following information should be included:

  • Seller Name (Your Company Name)
  • Client Number (Four-digit Number)
  • Article Number (SKU)
  • EAN (GTIN) as a scannable code (for the MASTER CARTON! Not the item inside!)
  • EAN (GTIN) as a readable number (the one for the MASTER, also informatively in small for the internal item)
  • Article Description
  • Number of pieces in the carton
  • Dimensions of the carton (LxHxD)
  • Weight of the carton
  • Carton number of the delivery (for example, 5 of 87)
  • FNSKU as a code to scan
  • FNSKU as a number to read
  • Reference number (from our ServBoard)
  • Pallets, if possible, sorted by type
  • Cartons, if possible, sorted by type

General Information on Goods Receipt:

Receiving goods at a fulfillment provider is the process by which the products sent by the customer are accepted, stored, and processed for later shipping to the end customers.

Typically, the process begins with the arrival of the products at the fulfillment provider’s warehouse. The provider usually conducts a receiving inspection, checking the products for damages or discrepancies. Afterwards, the products are stored and registered in the provider’s system.

During storage, products are usually marked with barcodes or other identification labels to facilitate tracking and identification. Once the products are entered into the system, the customer can monitor and manage them through an online interface. This way, the customer can also place orders and ship products to end customers.

It is crucial for the fulfillment provider to ensure that products are properly stored and inventoried to make certain they can be quickly located and shipped to the end customer when needed.
