Remove inventory from FBA warehouses by February 15 and August 15!
On February 15 and August 15 each year, “Fulfillment by Amazon” conducts an inventory review.
At this point, long-term storage fees are charged for all items stored in fulfillment centers for 6 to 12 months at a rate of €500 per cubic meter. For items stored longer than 12 months, a long-term storage fee of €1,000 per cubic meter applies. (Source)
All sellers with inventory stored in FBA warehouses should therefore begin creating removal orders in good time.
We are happy to assist with processing and managing these removals. Our warehouses receive the goods and store them until they are ready to be restocked in Amazon’s fulfillment centers.
This initially frustrating process of removal and re-restocking can also be seen as an opportunity. Storage costs per cubic meter in Servantful warehouses are currently (as of January 1, 2018) €0.50 per day—significantly cheaper than Amazon storage in the long run.
But storage costs are not the only factor.
